Angel's Colorado tour / Marble

I set up my angel in the old mill site next to the Crystal River, where there would be an electrical dust storm lasting from the end of June to the beginning of August: Marble/marble XXV.  During that time I finished roughing in the back of her wings and put a ridiculous amount of effort into the little girl's face.  I suspect this piece teeters between kitsch and the grotesque, and if it falls in the viewer's estimation, I would rather it be judged too sweet.  But I hope the child's awe is balanced by the knowledge tempering the angel's smile.
