Trees don't grow to please.

In winter, I remember an angle of sun revealing the perfect alignment of leaves on trees that otherwise demonstrated no concern with esthetics.   They just were, and anyone who wanted to look at them had to take them on their own terms.  That's the difference between the last piece and this one.  The travertine came from my developed idea of how form works effectively.  Every choice was made within that context.  This new one, however simple (variations on bulbs), is organic at heart, which means a surrender on my part.
